Courthouse, Surreal Imaging 2004

Harvard Graduate School of Design
Professor: Toshiko Mori, Department Chair, Robert P. Hubbard Professor in the Practice of Architecture

The intention of this project was to reprogram the courthouse using surreal methods. Rather than a static, particulated building, circulation is used to create juxtapositions of sections. The implementation of a running path and gym reintroduces the public as part of the judicial process. Obscured views allow for unexpected and changing power relations.
